Slowburn master torrent #001 (All thanks to him...for being the first one to share his recording!)
DPA 4061 -> Microtracker 24/48, downsampled to 16/44 for CD use
Recorded from section 407, row J

This is not the best recording I have ever made. Not even close. Section 407 is all the way up in line with the ending of the floor. Fortunately I managed to move down from the second to last row which was considerably higher up than row J
Since this show is what it is I assume most can live without perfection for awhile. I'm sure better sources will turn up but this is listenable and will give you a great feel for the show.

Judging from the other recordings available it was a wise choice standing where I did, although my back did not thank me for standing for over 4 hours. The band got on stage at 9 PM exactly and finally left at 11.12 PM. There were no idiots in my vicinity and I believe that I got an excellent recording of the entire concert, and I would rate it as my best ever. Am very pleased that it was this historic show that it all worked out so well. I still cannot believe that I was there! Enjoy the show and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody. Really nice artwork is included, created by Paul Price, a professional graphic artist, who also created the beautiful artwork for “The Holy Grail” Earls Court 25th May 1975 DVD release.
Recorded by Jules McTrainspotter. A Trainspotter Production. Direct distribution by Royal Orleans.
Recording equipment: Sony D7 DAT recorder & Sony ECM-717 stereo microphone. Maxell DM180 DAT tape.
Location: Standing 30 yards dead centre of Jason Bonham, and about 10 yards in front of the sound crew. I use the term “sound crew” loosely, there were numerous minor problems throughout the show.
Transfer: Playback on a Fostex D-5 DAT recorder using an AES/EBU digital coaxial lead into a Fostex CR200 CD recorder. Extracted with EAC on a Plextor 48/24/48A writer to my PC.
Mastering: Fade ins and outs using Adobe Audition 3. Que stops created in CD Wave Editor 1.91. No other mastering done. This is a pure DAT to CDR upload, identical to my Master DAT.

Hi Thank You very much... the links in mp3 has a password...could you send for us, anonymous?
Thanks again from Brazil.
Anyone know what song he played with the hollow body guitar?
no passwords...
It creeped me out a bit at first but now I think that Page's silver hair makes him look even more badass than he used to.
He dude,
Naaaah not the one, nice one though the holowbody, gotta love it. Too bad we weren't there eh ;)
Would have guess he'd have played it on the misty mountain hop. Will have to listen first... just a gamble :P
Cheers,
Snuf
hi guys and gals,
looking closely at the hollow body gtr pic...page has a blues slide on one of his finger..maybe " in my time of dying" ?

Thank You Zen. Can't wait to hear the mp3
December 11
Dave Grohl tells it like it is...
Sir,
Just wanted to thank you for being so accommodating to me and my cast of nerds the other night. It was an epic night, to say the least. Arriving at 10 am that morning, sleeping for three hours, heading to the bottle shop for refreshments to take with in the van, pissing like a Clydesdale upon arrival to the gig, and then the mighty Zeppelin.
Highlights:
For Your Life. Maybe my favorite song of the night, except for Kashmir, which was beyond spot on.
The dry ice machine.
Black Dog. Like they never stopped playing it.
Asking Marilyn Manson if I can give him a hickey. "No". Asking his girlfriend if I can give her a hickey. "Sure!" To which Marilyn replied "No".
Not understanding one fucking word that Liam Gallagher said to me.
Steve Gorman. A good guy.
Peter Mench being nice to me. Sign of the apocalypse? Perhaps.
The entire 2 hours that the band performed.
Without sounding like a cunt, I had waited to see that my whole life, and it did not disappoint. Of course, I had always dreamed about being behind that drum set, but the sheer thrill of being there overcame any envy that I may have had. Jason was fucking great. Face it, he had people like me, Chad Smith, and Steve Gorman watching his every move, all night long, and afterwards we all agreed that he played great. Just three jealous drummers, drinking away our life long dreams of one day jamming with the greatest rock band of all time. Fucking pathetic, we were.........
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for including us in everything. It meant the world to me.
Congratulate the boys for me. Hope they take this circus on the road. If there's an opening for drum tech, you know my number.
Dave
Love you man
Re the Hollow Body Guitar, I have done a hi-res scan of the picture and used digitech to approximate the missing pixels, on 500X mag it would appear that the guitar is tuned to a Em7 chord and this would seem to confirm the song in question is In My Time Of Dying.
Regards Mal
Just to let you know that rapidshare has taken down the links to the mp3s.
Any other way to get these so i can finish it.
Thxs again :)
FIXED!
Hello all,and especially Zen.
I hope it's OK to post this link here. It's a photo sharing site called Flickr.com. You don't have to sign up to view, and download the pics, only if you wish to make a comment. Anyway,in the last few days I found a load of High-Res pics submitted by many Flickr members. Lots of differant angles, etc; Thought maybe some of you guys would like to check them out.

OOOpppsss! I screwed up - Sorry!
I assumed the link would work,if it was simply copied, and pasted, but it didn't. So,instead just Copy/Paste the link below, and then enter "Led Zeppelin" in the search box at the Flickr site.
It will work - I just tried it - trust me! LOL. Sorry again, and Enjoy.

Thanks ZenArcher!
I found an alternate version of the show that was recorded from Block 421 so it sounds far less distant. Would you like the link to the torrent?
The sound ain't so bad ! Thanks a million.
The second source to surface, recorded from Block 421 will be available here within the Hour... flac first and then mp3...
2nd source is up!... took a bit longer... but it's up
Thanks, Zen - I'm downloading now!!
How are you supposed to listen to the songs when it goes to a hosting account every time?
Finished downloading the 2nd source flac files - on a quick first listen the vocals are clearer and the treble frequencies are emphasised, but the bottom end's a bit lacking. Perhaps we need a mix of Slowburn's original recording (for the bass) and the new one from Maia (for the treble) to get the best of both worlds. Any audio wizards out there up to the challenge?
FLAC? Is the second source in FLAC?
I didn't realise that - I gotta grab those! Many Thanks Zen,your always coming up with the goods!
p.s. My user name on most every site I belong to is the 'Doctor'.
Feel free to call me that if you wish!

Heard Heavyrock spectaculer blog version of this and the faster tracks were weak...slowies slightly better though. No heart at all..
Led Zeppelin R.I.P
lol just finished download from the first source..THANKS FOR THIS!
what about the videos you put before? please upload them again
Thank you
I don't think the second source is in any way better .My cousin was at the gig an he said it was really good apart from the intro to "Since I've been Loving You" where everyone looked at each other wondering what the hell Mr Page was playing.
Well,I wish I'd been at that gig trying to figure it out - instead of reading about it! God I hope they do a tour. (I doubt they will)
Hi ZEN,Paul L. : )-
Second source sounds better. I'm listening to it now : waow !
Thanks

Hi. I have (re)mastered the first source recording (the one from Slowburn), and now I think it sounds better than before and also better than the second source. Here it is in mp3:

Hi Zen , I work a bit on the second source. it is "remastered". Not professional of course but quite interesting.
Made with Steinberg clean! software.

You know,right from the beginning
I haven't really cared for that art from the bootleg. I think if I can find the time - I'm going to design my own art for that. If I do,I'll let you all know, and you can download it for yourselves. I have actually seen several other cover designs elsewhere though, and they didn't look too bad. 'Oh well, just a thought!

Thanks for leaving in the copyright on my photos! yeah, nice one!
For anyone who wants to know where a couple of those photos this guy used are from its www.ledzeppelinpics.com - not all of the photos came from there, but a couple did, and thanks to the Blogger who felt it necessary to cut off the link at the bottom of the pics...
Jackass!
Those pictures were mailed to me I have no idea were they came from, so if you need to mention that in an anonynous post and call me a jackass then you can blow me sideways you fuck...
heh 'Mr.Anonymous' Instead of making assumptions about Zen - or anyone - you should check your facts. Zen runs a great blog here. He provides many Led Zeppelin fans with amazing quality bootlegs, and asks for nothing in return.
If you are the 'original' photographer, then take some satisfaction in knowing that your pictures have given many fans both here, and elsewhere alot of pleasure.
Zen thanks a lot for sharing Zep music and especially thanks for lossless format.
Ilya.
Wow, We should all applaud these great efforts, what a wonderful site, Many thanks to you Zen, I would have given almost anything to have been at these shows, it is awesome to hear them via your site. Many many thanks. Steve B
If it's the guy who is running the ledzepplinpics web site, then he should really be ashamed of his sorry ass trying to ILLEGALLY SELL those photos and concern himself more with the band coming after him with a cease and desist for that rather than sqwaking about them being used for recordings being passed around for free.
I couldn't agree more with you!
***H*A*P*P*Y***N*E*W***Y*E*A*R***
to all my fellow Zep-heads (I know it's not for another couple days, but what the hell - I may not remember to say it later on!)

Thanks for the new source versions, Zen!
Hi. Please Help. Last 4 tracks from 3rd source (16-Bit) are deleted....
This file has been deleted.
Reason: THIS FILE IS FORBIDDEN TO BE SHARED! Complaints received.
If You can, please add them again
If I may add my request for a reposting of the 16-bit lossless source files. All are currently showing as deleted.
Much thanks
the 16 bit version was erased, please upload
Sounds seems lost forever ( for the rest of us ... we'll have to seek elsewhere ) but the rest is great ... pics are excellent, and there is some emotions left reading these pages ( & plant XD arf, sorry for this bad joke )
Anywhere online where these files actually still exist? Looks like every site is without any music links...
good post :)
